Recent correspondence about hijack contingency planning in Gibraltar has been transferred to MAED, but, with reference to your paragraph 1(d), I recall that the idea of supplying "a force practised in the techniques of terminating seizures by force" from the British Army Resident Battalion or the local police presents considerable practical problems and is not welcome to the Governor, who in the case of Gibraltar is also substantive Commander in Chief.
