We therefore have a legitimate right to ask the inspectors to assess the job content and emoluments of all governors (since we must now consider it likely that any such posts will future be filled by a DS Officer - and even where this is not to, we are likely to become involved in topping up emoluments and need advice on how much to pay) and to make recommendations on the terms of service which should apply for DS officers appointed to other posts in the Dependent Territones, whether on secondment or on the DS payroll. It is also helpful for, to have advice on the grading of jols to which DS Offices gue to be posted.
