The following recommendations have been approved:-

Depending on the future structure and responsibilities of the new Department (vide paragraph 1 of covering minute), the possibility of upgrading the DS5 Assistant's post to DS5"s" to be reviewed in 6 months' time.

Responsibility for the administration of Diego Garcia to be transferred with the Seychelles desk (DS6 Mr Major) into EAD on 1 July.

(iii) The DS7 (Mr Hinton), DS9 (Mr Hoare), and Miss Graham's

S2 post to be abolished with effect from 1 July 1976.

(iv) The DS10/CO post responsible for Seychelles/BIOT work

in HKIOD registry to be abolished with effect from 1 July 1976.

Part-time Paperkeeper post to be abolished.

Effective July 1, the two ODM posts (Mrs Johnson HEO and Mrs Birch EO) return to the ODM - this has been accepted by the ODM (their letter of 11 June).
