100. Chinese males Kwok Wai (6753/1218) and Ip Wang-kwong (5509/1347/0342), and Chinese female PAK Yuen-ling (2672/1238/3781) have all been charged with Conspiracy To Traffic in A Dangerous Drug. Kwok has been additionally charged with Possession Of Dangerous Drugs For The Purpose Of Unlawful Trafficking. All have been committed to stand trial at the Supreme Court.

101. On 20th December, 1976, Narcotics Bureau officers conducted a series of raids against persons engaged in the wholesale distribution of heroin in Kowloon. Two of the raids resulted in the discovery of heroin packed ready for distribution. At a flat in San Wei Street, Kowloon, 40 packets of heroin comprising 6705 grammes of a mixture containing 237.4 grammes of salts of esters of morphine were seized, and Chinese male SING Kwok-chuen (4141/0948/6898) arrested. He has been charged with Possession Of Dangerous Drugs For The Purpose Of Unlawful Trafficking and is awaiting trial at Victoria District Court.
102. A second raid conducted at a flat in Lok Shan Road, Kowloon, netted 39 packets of heroin comprising 547 grammes of a mixture containing 163.4 grammes of salts of esters of morphine. Chinese male LAU Sze-sang (0491/2514/3932) was arrested and charged with Possession Of Dangerous Drugs For The Purpose Of Unlawful Trafficking. He pleaded guilty in Victoria District Court and was sentenced to 6 years' imprisonment.

103. On 27th August, 1976, Indian male Ramesh PIPALWA arrived at Hong Kong Airport from Bangkok. A search of his baggage by Preventive Service officers revealed 2.0005 kilogrammes of cannabis concealed amongst pairs of trousers. PIPALWA was arrested and charged with Possession Of Dangerous Drugs For The Purpose Of Unlawful Trafficking. He was sentenced to 6 months' imprisonment, suspended for 2 years.

104. On 22nd November 1976, Preventive Service officers searched the m.v. 'Toyo' on her arrival from Karachi, resulting in the discovery of 20.674 kilogrammes of cannabis resin concealed in the provisions compartment. The chief steward, Indian male Benjamin Francisco CASTELlo, the cadet officer, Indian male Fabian Gerard MIRANDA, and the engine room boatswain, Bangladesh male Abdur Rub were arrested and jointly charged with Possession Of Dangerous Drugs For The Purpose Of Unlawful Trafficking. They will stand trial at Victoria District Court.
