Repeal certain Ordinances and to make provisions incidental thereto.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.

1.

This Ordinance may be cited as the Law Revision (Miscellaneous Short title. Amendments) Ordinance 1977.

2. The Ordinances specified in the First Schedule are repealed.

3. The Ordinances specified in the Second Schedule are amended in Amendments. the manner specified therein.

Section 144A is amended by "Governor" and substituting the following-

"Authority".

The Ordinance is amended by adding after (Cap. 228.) section 26 the following new sections-

"Punishment

of person begging alms. [cf. 1824

c. 83, s. 3.]

26A. Any person who wanders abroad, or places himself or herself in any public place, street or water- way to beg or gather alms, or causes or procures or encourages any child or children so to do, commits an offence and is liable on conviction- (a) for a first or second offence, to a fine of five hundred dollars and to imprisonment for one month; and
