The figure of illegal immigrants claiming to have evaded controls since 30th November 1974 is 13,017. The ratio of interceptions against evasions is now 1 : 4.17. Macao

No illegal immigrant from Macao was arrested by Marine Police during the month.

Registration of illegals

13.

During July 804 persons (compared with 689 last month) registered with the Registration of Persons Office, claiming to have entered Hong Kong illegally from various sources. The figure includes 672 persons (compared with 570 last month) claiming to have come from China.
