To establish and follow a sequence of action leading to a decision by December 1977 on whether a feasibility study for an additional desalting plant should be undertaken and, by 1979, whether tenders for construc

tion should be called.

Approval for the consultancy on joint production has been obtained. The report on Phase I of the study (i.e. feasibility of joint prouction) is expected to be completed around July 1977. (a) Phase II of the study (i.e. administrative arrangements for joint production) to be completed by October 1977. (b) Decision on feasibility study

for additional desalting plant by December 1977.

(c) Decision on whether to call

for tenders for a second desalter by 1979.

Receive report on Phase I of the joining production consultancy and decide whether to embark on Stage II of the study.
