1. Wr Stewart has asked me to show you his copy of Mr Duff's letter of 23 June to Sir Bruce Greatbatch in the DEVDIV in Bridgetown. (We do not have a copy of the correspondence to which Mr Duff refers in his letter).
2. The first sub-paragraph in paragraph 3 of Mr Duff's letter is relevant so far, as you are concerned. We in HKGD are wondering whether the evidence existent in the ODM of a "Corps of Specialists" in the judicial field has been taken into account in the proposals that you put to the Legal Adviser in your minute of 15 June. I should be grateful if you would let me know the answer in time for a meeting that the PUS is now thinking of holding on 11 July about staffing in the Dependent Territories in the 1980s.
