luth February. 1975.
it was good of you to invite me to lunch in London and to meet one of your colleagues who is responsible for present day relations with China.
It should prove to be an interesting and helpful discussion.
I must admit, since my return to England at the end of 1969, apart from one fleeting visit to London to see friends in the city, I have kept away from there mainly owing to the amount of travel time involved and present day expense of staying at good hotels which made my visits so enjoyable.
As some of my relatives reside at Reading and I have long promised to make a call on them, it seems I could combine this with a visit to meet you in London and stay there for a few days.
If you will give me a tentative date towards the end of this month for our meeting, this will help me to fix an itinerary.
Yours sincerely,
a4
A.G.Tilton.
