ASSISTANT QUANTRASTER GENERAL HO LAND FORCES
Lieutenant Colonel lan Slater was commissioned into the Royal Engineers from
RMMAS in 1954. He obtained a Degree in engineering at RCS in 1954 and
then did three tours of duty with The Gurkha Engineers in Malaysia and
Hong Kong. After two years as DAA & QG of 12 Engineer Brigade in UK he went to BAOR as second-in-command of the Amphibious Engineer Regiment.
Immediately prior to taking up his present appointment last year he
attended the General Management Course at the Administrative Staff College,
Henley.
He is married with one child at school in UK. His interests are Hockey,
Swimming and Tennis.
