POD have named a candidate for the above mentioned post. If she is acceptable to Bangkok they expect her to be able to arrive in post in early June.

3. I have spoken to Mr Brady in POD about the recommendation from G and GD that the PA should go to Bangkok as a DS Officer and not on secondment to the Hong Kong Government. I said that we had no objection to this and suggested that POD should notify Bangkok and Hong Kong when they seek agreement to the posting.
