The COMMONWEALTH PARLIAMENTARY ASSOCIATION, formed in 1911, has as its primary aim the promotion of understanding and co-operation between Commonwealth Parliamentar- ians through conferences, parliamentary seminars and visits, and also through its publications. The Association now has 93 branches and more than 6,000 members. The governing body is the General Council, whose Secretariat is at 7 Old Palace Yard, SW1.
