Mr Leahy will brief the Press in the Embassy.

(b) Hong Kong

(i) The Private Office will be in Govt House.

(ii) Mr Leahy will have a suite in the Mandarin Hotel.

Office Equipment and Stationery

(a) Ps will bring their own typewriters; in addition

Chancery and Govt House have been asked to provide two manual typewriters for the Private Office.

(b) Common user stationery will also be supplied by

Chancery/Govt House; the Private Office will bring any special stationery with them.

Communications

(a) Peking

(i) Cypher and DWS facilities will be provided on a

24-hour basis.

(ii) Bag Services

There will be a bag closing in the FCO on Tuesday 24 October at 1100 which arrives at Peking on Monday 30 October. There will be no special services.

(iii) Telephones

The Embassy switchboard will be required to work on a 24-hour basis during the Visit. A direct line between Chancery and the Govt Guest House has been arranged.

(b) Hong Kong

(i) Cypher and DWS facilities will be provided on a

24-hour basis.

(ii) Bag Services

There will be a bag closing in the FCO on Tuesday 31 October at 1100 which arrives at Hong Kong on Thursday 2 November.

(iii) Telephones

The Govt House switchboard will be manned on a 24-hour basis.
