The offices of the "70's Bi-Weekly" raided by the Commercial Crime Office and the magazine suspended pending a deposit of $10,000 and two guarantors to be officially registered.

Anti-Vietnam War demonstration held by the American Ad Hoc Committee outside the United States Consulate-General, Garden Road.

Anti-war in South East Asia demonstration held by the American Ad Hoc Committee out- side the United States Consulate-General, Garden Road.

The editors of the "70's Bi-Weekly" held a public forum at the Chinese Y.M.C.A. Hall, Kowloon, to start a campaign for Chinese to be recognised as an official language in Hong Kong.

The editors of the "70's Bi-Weekly" formed the "Association for the Promotion of the Movement to Officialize the Chinese Language" with a total of 17 student organisations and publications.

The editors of the "70's Bi-Weekly" formed the "Campaign for Chinese as an Official Language (C.C.O.L.) Joint Committee which succeeded their original organisations but consisted of fewer members.

The students' unions of all three colleges of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong University and the Hong Kong Federation of Students (H.K.F.S.) set up Action Committees to promote Chinese as an Official Language.

The editors of the "70's Bi-Weekly" magazine, realising that they had lost student support for their language campaign to the H.K.F.S., formed the "Students/Workers Alliance to Promote Chinese as an Official Language" separate from the C.C.O.L. and open to students and workers.

Following a series of public forums on the subject, a group of students paid a comfort visit to workers on the cross-harbour tunnel who were on strike.

An anti-Vietnam war demonstration held out- side the United States Consulate-General by a number of dissident expatriates.
