*La. Mr. Ben Ford (Bradford, North): To ask the

Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what reports he has received from Hong Kong following Lucy typhoon, what action he proposes to take and if he will make a statement.

I have had a report from Hong Kong that the Colony was not

directly affected by this typhoon which passed to the

North-East of the territory in the middle of the day. There

was very heavy rain and a high wind which caused minor damage

with some flooding. I understand that a few people were

injured.
