Nauru
10. The President, who is also the Prime Minister of Nauru, is
visiting Britain from 21 to 29 May. He is planning to have talks with the Treasury/Bank of England about Nauru's position in relation to the sterling area; and about civil aviation with the Board of Trade. Lord Shepherd has agreed to give a lunch in
his honour on 28 May. The President himself is giving a

reception that evening.

The Prime Minister is being asked
whether he will see the President and whether he would wish to
entertain him (in which case Lord Shepherd would not give the
lunch).
