6. Mr. Healey has invited the Australian Minister of Defence
to visit London as a guest of HMG between 22-26 June. The
proposed dates for this visit have not yet been confirmed.
There have been no further developments with regard to the
possible visit by Mr. McMahon, Minister for External Affairs.
Information Administration Dept. are looking after
proposed visits by Ministers of Australian State Governments.
Mr. Logan, Western Australia Minister of Local Government, is
to visit Britain from 23 May to 6 June. Mr. Jago, Minister of
Health in the New South Wales State Government, is coming from
3-21 June. Mr. Court, Western Australia Minister of Industrial
Development may pay a private visit this summer. It is being recommended that Lord Shepherd should give a lunch for Mr.Logan and should see Mr. Jago who v be entertained by a Minister
in the Department of Health and Social Security.
Malaysia
8. The Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tunku Abdul Rahman, is to receive an Honorary Doctorate at Oxford on 24 June. Although he
was expected to remain in Britain privately for approximately
two months it now seems possible that his visit will be of
shorter duration.
No dates have yet been fixed apart from the
Oxford ceremony.
Brunei
9. There are no further developments with regard to the former Sultan (Sir Omar)'s plans to be in Britain from
July to September and for the Sultan to come in September.
