The Governor asked whether BOAC would protest about the

acquittal of the man accused of demanding $100,000 with menaces,

i.e. that he would destroy two VC 10 aircraft of BOAC if his

demand was not met.

2.

So far as the Board of Trade is concerned, there is no

news of BOAC protesting against this acquittal; they think it

is unlikely that BOAC will do so but will tell us if anything

transpires.

3. The case was heard in Hong Kong and we have no details

except what was reported in the Times of II November cutting

attached.
