This might include review of the current situat- ion in Vietnam including the position in regard to the negotiations in

Paris; the situation in China and the general question of relations with China; relations between Malaysia and the Philippines and prospects for regional co-operation in the area.

It is proposed to deal with Rhodesia as a Agenda, rather than to discuss it substantively in this general item. There are, however, a number of other current

issues on which some Heads of Government have expressed a wish to exchange views, in particular the questions of Apartheid, South West Africa and the Portugese Dependent Territories.

Problems in the Middle East. Heads of Government might wish to

review the present situation and the prospects for achieving a lasting peaceful solution.

Problems in the Caribbean.

The Government of Guyana has recently sought the support of the Commonwealth in the United Nations in

opposing the Venezuelan claim to part of Guyana's territory.

Disarmament.

Heads of Government might review the present position and future prospects in the negotiations on arms control and disarmament questions. Particular reference might be made to the non-proliferation treaty, the possibility of strategic arms limitation and of a comprehensive test ban treaty.

Peaceful settlement of international disputes. that Heads of Government might wish to consider how best to encourage observance of the principles of the UN Charter prohibiting the threat or the use of force in international disputes.
