To ask the
Mr. Frank Allaun (Salford, East): Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, how many of those imprisoned or detained following the disturbances in Hong Kong in 1967 have been kept in solitary confinement, and for how long; and how many are at present held in solitary confinement.

No prisoner convicted in connexion with the
disturbances is undergoing separate confinement at the
present time. I will send to my honourable Friend
details of such prisoners who may at any time during
their sentences have undergone this punishment as soon
as they can be obtained.
No detainees have been kept in solitary or separate
confinement.
