Struggle Committee:

'Emergency Decrees' Null and Void

Spokesmen of HK Struggle Committee and HK Workers' Struggle Committee, In the statements they made on June 2, called for immediate action by Hongkong workers, pea- sants, students and other compatriots to bring about a great tempest of revolution in the bitter struggle against the British imperialists in Hongkong.

Chinese Ready to Hit Back

They pointed out that all the patriotic Chi- nese in Hongkong would resolutely carry out the supreme directives, respond to the call of their great Socialist homeland, and exact the payment of the blood debt from the British imperialists in Hongkong. They would give the British imperialists the punishment they,

deserved.

The spokesman of HK Struggle Committee said that never in the more than 100 years of British occupation had the Chinese nationals in Hongkong been so high-spirited or so firm in determination as they were today. With com- patriots of all circles joining the struggle, the flames of revolution had developed into a great blaze and the situation was splendid.

Null and Void

The spokesman said that the British im- perialists in Hongkong showed tremendous panic and consternation under the impact of the great revolutionary army of the Chinese compatriots in Hongkong and Kowloon. In a desperate struggle, these paper tigers issued a series of fascist 'Emergency Decrees' in a vain attempt to persecute the Chinese nationals.

The spokesman solemnly declared that all the fascist 'decrees' were null and void to the patriotic Chinese in Hongkong. While the Bri- tish imperialists had their Emergency De- crees', the Chinese had the right to act against atrocities, and the initiative was in the hands of the Chinese.

Ready to Hit Back

The spokesman said that the British authori- tics in Hongkong were bringing in new troops in an attempt to step up their persecution of the Chinese. In accordance with the teach- ings of our great leader Chairman Mao, all the Chinese nationals in Hongkong had made good preparations to beat back the enemy's attack' and exact payment for their blood debt. The British authorities in Hongkong must accept

The Struggle Fund passed the mark of HK$4,000,000 on Monday. The flow of donations has increased since Peking's call for fighting to the end on June 3. On Monday alone, the collection centre at Ta Kung Pao received more than 500,000 dollars and that at Wen Wei Po, 260,000.

In a statement made at a Chinese Chamber of Commerce meeting, business- men dealing in Chinese products and their employees pledged to raise HK$- 1,000,000 over the $113,000 they had already contributed to the Fund.

Call for Immediate Action

The spokesman of HK Workers' Struggle Committee exposed the 'disciplinary measures? taken against the Chinese workers of the Bri- tish Waterworks Authority' following the British fascists authorities. The British sent series of 'Emergency Decrees' issued by the spies after the Chinese nationals. They made use of the US-Chiang special agents. They incited some 'communities' and 'associations' indicated that the British authorities were to fabricate so-called 'public opinion'. All this scheming new suppression.

The spokesman pointed out that the Chinese compatriots in Hongkong feared neither heaven, nor earth, nor gods, nor ghosts, let alone the rotten war ships of British imperial- ism, its army, police, special agents, courts and prisons.

The spokesman called for immediate action by all workers in Hongkong to raise the anti- persecution struggle to a new stage. The strug- gle should be spread from the city to the

countryside. It should be conducted in con- centrated as well as scattered forms, with courage and tenacity, skill and flexibility in order to deal a resolute and powerful counter- blow to the British imperialists in Hongkong.

消後車鄉區西

In defiance of the so called 'Emergency Decrees' which bands all 'inflamatory slogans', villagers in Saigon, N.T. covered the building of the Saigon Rural Committee with anti-persecution posters.
