Inspector Knight re-entered British territory and was picked up by military vehicle at about 0730 hours 20 November, having apparently escaped or possibly having been allowed to escape. tired and under medical care but in fair physical condition. De-briefing continues, but in the meanwhile we are:-

(b) Releasing briefest details only to Press.

(c) Arranging to continue border talks this afternoon.
