Architects for the Museum are Ho Kwong Yew and Sons, with Mr. He Kok Hoe, M.S.I.A., A.R.I.B.A. as project architect and Mr. Ho Kok Yin, D. Arch., A.R.I.B.A., in charge. The contractors are Yew Lee and Co. Consulting engineers are Seen Sehest- ed and Partners; quantity surveyors Langdon and Every (Far East).

Museum consultants who have given the benefit of their experience in designing the museum include Dr. Lother P. Witteborg, former head of the American Museum of Natural History in New York, who through the courtesy of UNESCO paid a visit to Malaya; Mr. J.C. Irwin, Keeper of the Indian section of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London; and Mr. J.J. Lowry, also of the Victoria and Albert Museum.
