Main entrance to the building is from Penang Lane to the west. To keep the western sun out of the hail and the 100ms on the first floor a practical mixture of concrete grilles and aluminium sun blades has been introduced into the western elevation, giving the the main street facade an excellent and interesting-de- sign. Over the main door a porch has been cantilevered out, giving a central point for the eye in this elevation.
At the rear of the building is another entrance which can be used by visitors who have left their cars. in the park.
Cost of the new building was approximately M$150,000.
