The next twenty floors each have 14 flats, varying in size from living. dining room (19 feet by 10 feet), three bedrooms (two at 11 feet by 9 feet and one at 9 feet by 9 feet). kitchen and servant's room, to flats of a similar size but with only two bedrooms. and to smaller flats of living-dining room (14 feet by 10 feet) two bedrooms (each 9 feet by
feet) and kitchen. but without servant's room. Some of the flats also have boxrooms. The flats down one side of the block have full length balconies (35 feet by 9 feet) ar- ranged that they can be broken up into three separate balconies serving the bedroom, living-dining room and servant's room, with intercommuni- cating doors in the partitions, if the tenant so wishes. Flooring in the flats is of wood parquet.
Construction is in reinforced con- crete column and beam with con crete floors, finished on the surface in mosaic tiling in the public cor ridors and lobbies. The exterior finish is in concrete rendering with concrete panels in different colours for contrast.
Refuse chutes are placed on all staircase landings leading down to the refuse chamber on the second floor inside the garage, where collec-
