and void in this block, infill panels are painted a very dark grey to contrast with the fair-face work. On the main block the brick infill panels are plas- tered and painted white. Deep vertical and horizontal sun breakers are used on both blocks to screen the interior from direct sunlgiht and to give better overall weather protection.

The fair-face concrete finish is car- ried through internally on the covered playground and on the beams of the open corridors. The corridors are brightened up by a mosaic tile dado

taken up to the ceiling beam soffit.

Classrooms are finished in cement lime plaster and washable distemper.

The total cost of the building, ex- cluding professional fees but including foundation and sub-contracts, was HK$1,618,421.70.
