TEEL truss beams and columns are to be used for the first time in Thailand on the construction of the 80-metre high Chokchai International Building, Bangkok.
The building, located on a plot of 4,000 sq. metres at 690 Sukumvit Road, is the tallest so far planned for Bangkok. It will consist of a slim rectangular tower with floors of 600 sq. metres rising from the centre of a podium with two floors each of 1,500 sq. metres.
Site clearance began in June 1967 and piling work was started last September. The complete project is due for completion by December 1969.
The building will contain a total of 23 floors, each served by a bank of six elevators. The elevators will be
