Rawlplug RV5A drill
POWER DRILLS
Suitable for all
Types of Masonry
EIGHT vibratory and two rotary drilling actions are given by each of two new Vibroto power tools, the RV 4 and RV 5A, introduced by The Rawlplug Co., Ltd., London. This makes them suitable for any type of masonry drilling. Both are double insulated and have continuously rated motors.
The lightweight RV 4 is useful for drilling a fin. hole in structural con- crete and even larger with a pre- drilled pilot hole.
Chuck capacities are in. and fin., chuck speeds under full load 530/- 1,300 and 400/950, and vibration fre- quencies per minute 5,300/13,000 and 6,400/15,000. The nett weights are 7 lb. (RV 4) and 12lb. (RV 5A). Both machines are supressed against radio and TV interference.

CEILING PANELS
Aluminium Tiles Absorb Sound
NEW aluminium sound absorbing ceiling panels, known as Marleysaga tiles, weigh only lb. per sq. ft. They are non-inflammable and resistant to atmospheric corrosion. Simple clips attach the panels to parallel channels.
Each panel measures 24in. x 24in. x lin. and consists of a tray of box- profile shaped aluminium with pris- matic cavities on the reverse side filled with glass fibre. A glass fibre membrane keeps the infill in position and ensures the insulating material forming an integral part of the panel. It also ensures against it getting damp. The aluminium trays are faced with off-white stove enamelled matt finish and each casing is perforated with 1,304 circular perforations in evenly-spaced squares.

AUSTRALIAN company, Press-Glass Pty., Ltd., 6 Middlemiss Street, Mascot, New South Wales, have made a patent application for a new fibreglass panel known as Krinkel, which is produced on a newly de- veloped batch continuous laminator and press unit.
The panel combines a high gloss finish on top with a crinkled profile to give strength and a diffused light. Made in three colours, green, sky blue and yellow, it provides a 14 cor- rugation overlap on a width of 27 in.
The pitch is 3in. to match cor- rugated iron and lengths are from 6 ft. to 10 ft., with specials running up to 24 ft. Purlins are spaced at 24 in. centres.
Mr. A.S. Barry, manager of the company, told Far East Architect and Builder that he would be interested to obtain distributors for Krinkel in the South East Asian countries.
PLASTICS CISTERN
Will Withstand 80 deg. C Temperature
A PLASTICS expansion water cistern has been added to the Aspect domes- tic range manufactured by Allied Structural Plastics, Ltd., Dunstable, Beds., UK. Moulded from poly- propylene, it will withstand water at a constant temperature of 80 de- grees C, and cannot cause electrolytic corrosion.
While it has a capacity of four gal- lons, it weighs only 31b. 3oz.
The cisterns have a tapered, cylin- drical shape which permits nesting. They are 10in. high, with a diameter of Ift. 6 in. at the top and 1ft. 4 in. at the bottom. Six of them may be stacked in a space 2 ft. square by 2 ft. 11 in. high.
Export enquires from the Far East should be directed to the Export Division, Universal Asbestos Manu- facturing Co., Ltd.. Tolpits, Watford, UK.
