Following the acceptance by Government of the recommendations of the Salaries Commission and of the subsequent Executive Grade Committee, the two Treasury Inspector posts and 9 posts of Execu- tive Grade Officer have been incorporated into the Treasury Accountant establishment. The other Executive Grade Officer posts deleted are either leave reserve posts transferred to Head 26 or duplications of accounting posts already included in the establishments of other departments for which funds had never been provided in the Treasury estimates.

To cope with the increased volume of work and the expansion of the Treasury, two additional posts of Executive Grade Officer, 14 posts of Clerk/Typist, 3 of Clerical Assistant and 1 of Office Attendant have been provided these increases include 1 post of Executive Grade Officer and 3 posts of clerk for the new Causeway Bay Sub-Treasury.
