The administrative planning and organization of the new City Hall has assumed such large proportions as to warrant the appointment of a full-time Manager. A Curator will be required later in the year when preparatory work will commence in connexion with the City Hall Museum.

Of the five Secretary Stenographer posts shown, four are Confidential Assistant posts regarded; the fifth is needed to assist the City Hall Librarian with the rapidly increasing volume of correspondence. One Clerk is also required to cope with the additional clerical duties connected with the City Hall: another is needed to maintain personal records and to deal with routine correspondence arising out of the recently established Hawker Control Unit. 12 additional posts of Clerical Assistant are required in District Offices to assist outside officers in routine clerical work; 12 Office Attendant posts are retrenched.
