Wins In "A" Division.
Two somewhat unexpected results in the "A" Division pro gramme featured the opening of the 1939 league tennis season yesterday, Hongkong Cricket Club beating Kowloon Cricket Club by seven sels to two and Recreéfo accounting for South China by 5 to 31.
Weather conditions around 5 p.m. were rather indifferent and the Chinese Recreation Club-University match was post- poned.
Notwithstanding the fact that
the visitors fielded a side. the Cricket Club
depleted

sprang a surprise on Kowloon int allowing them only two sets. W. Duff and L Goldman were in
great form and conceded only two games in their three sets.
