Big Charity Match To Be Arranged

DISCUSSION ON INTERPORT

AT A MEETING OF THE COUNCIL of the Hongkong Football Association yesterday a letter was read from the secretary of the Kit Chee Football Association with reverence to the accidental injury of one of the players in a recent football match, with the result that he died the following day in the Queen Mary Hospital. The deceased player's mother and shater were entirely dependent upon him and as

a result of his death, they were without means of subsistence,

The letter went on to inquire of the Chairman if it were possible to arrange for a charity game, the funds to be appropriated for the benefit of the deceased's mother and sister.

The Chalaman (Mr. W. Pryde) remarked after reading the letter. that it was up to the Council to de all it could to help deceased's dependents. After some discussion the Chairman said that it should be left to the Management Com-

INTERPURT MATCH With regard to the Interport game with Shanghai to be held on Chinese New Year's Day, the chair. man said that the evening papers pool. earried reports that Shanghai team to were unable to send a Hongkong. As far as the Council was concerned, said the Chairman, no official information had been received. If the reports were true then a team from Manila should be invited.
