Man Accused Of Pushing Girl In Front Of Lorry

Defendant Gives Evidence

Before Mr. Justice R. E., Lindsell at the Criminal Sessions yes- terday Cheng Shuet-wah, alias Cheng Chp, was charged on three counts of causing grievous bodily harm with intent to murder a woman, Yeung Wal-ping, aged 20. on August 29, causing grievous bodily harm with intent to maim or disable her, and causing grievous bodily harm.

The defendant pleaded not guilty and claimed trial.

Mr. J. Whyatt, Crown Counsel, prosecuted and the defendant was not legally represented.
