The school received several in- teresting visits during the year by notable persons passing. "through the Colony, amongst whom was. the visit of HE. Admiral Esteva of the French Fleet in China. One procured visit especially which great pleasure both to Sisters and pupils was that of Lady Caldecott who very kindly visited the convent shortly after her arrival in the Colony.
