SCHOOL
(Continued from Page 1.)
The winner of the Lugard Scholarship for the year 1936-1937 was Dorothy Salmon.
Lady Peel's Shield for Good Con- duct was won by Annie Sumad.
Nine pupils were presented in the various grades for the Trinity College of Music Examinations. All passed with Merit and two obtain- ed Honours.
HEALTH AND SPORTS The medical Inspections are con- ducted twice during the year and the Reports show that the School- building with its spacious class- rooms and also the hygienic condi- tions leave nothing to be dealred while the pupils enjoy perfect
health.

We are grateful to Mr. Sayer, the Director of Education, for calling our attention to the necessity of eye-Inspection and for providing free spectacles to those who need- ed them. There is no doubt that the care of the eyes with regard to school children is no light matter, and regular eye inspection will take place in the school in future. Games in basket-ball and net- bali are thoroughly enjoyed by all the classes while tennis remains popular with the elder pupils. Our Quide Company is flourishing thanks to the able guidance and kind devotedtess of our lady-helpers.

sport. For the other ignorant they enjoyed watching people stumble over one another. to see the ball kicked high up in the air and they are wise enough to know that when the hall is put inside the net it is a goal. For those who understand the game better they enjoyed from a ferent angle. They studied the tactics, employed by teams, with individuals outwitting" each other and follow the more advanced methods in the play. Thus foot- ball is enjoyed by all and every one. But above all these facts the most important thing is that we now realise that football, is a good factor to cultivate brotherly feeling and fellowship.
