Apprehension Felt For Kowloon Golf Club

The future of the Kowloon Golf Club is in Jeopardy, Judg lag by the remarks made by the President of the Club, Mr. H. B. Mundy yesterday at the annual general meeting held in the West Lounge of the European F.M.C.A. Mr. Mundy was supported In the chair by Mr. A J. Dennis. Captain of the Club, and Mr. W. Stoker, Hon. Secretary.

Referring to the use of the rifle rante on each and every Wednesday by the newly formed Hong Kong Rifle Association. the President expressed his opinion that it "has been practical- ly it not entirely responsible for the revenue diminution and the subsequent low balance of $2.04 in the income and expenditure account."
"I regret to say so sald Mr. Mundy, "but li is my view that to continue operating our Club in these restricted lines with
our constant overhead charges will bring forth a repetition of simlar bad results, as in the period under review. in the years to come."

the Government's request, the Military Authorities have to be compensated for the outlay they made on the Ranges and be provided with another suitable area for use as a Range. The agreement also contained- a clause stating that the Range was to be used by regular troops, but that Volunteers would also be per- mitted to use the Range. So far as I can ascertain, the area was laid out as a rifle range and used fully as such until shortly after the war period.
