The discovery of chromite in the Philippines has produced world- wide repercussions, Judge Hausser- männ said, but the Japanese are most eager of all to obtain finan- clal' control of the industry, as well as the gold mines, manganese and the half billion tons of tron ore deposits in the southern part of the Islands.
