Harriman's Weekly Review

Saturday, April 18 Messrs. G. A. Harriman and Co.'s weekly share report and market review lasued at noon to-day states:

We have enjoyed a more active market during the period under review with all issues in good de- mand throughout. Cements were again the most prominent feature and after changing hands at the opening at $9 gradually improved to $9.60 closing arm at this rate. Trading in the Mining section was again very brisk with Antamoks and Demonstrations the popular features. More interest was also taken in the investment section where rates. were marked higher.. Hongkong Trams came to business a $10.75/10.90. Mongkong Elec- trics remained in steady demand ot $524 after sales at $52.75. Hongkong Telephones (olá) sought "for at $25. Hongkong Lands had ready buyers. at $32 Among the minor issues, Cements дете in great demand after the opening and were dealt in at $9/9.60 for cash and corresponding rates for forward deliveries, Hotels were also strong with unsatisfied buyers at $4.60 at the close. China Providents (old) could be placed at $1.20. China Lights (old) showed renewed strength with buyers

$10.50 but scrips, however, were scarce. Mining shares continued to attract more attention and a good business was done
