The freight returns, received from the Harbour Office during the 24 hours ended at 9.00 am. yesterday showed a fairly high tonnage movement, a large pro- portion of which being made up by British ships.

The total tonnage of "general cargo carried by vessels to the Colony was 6,121 tons, with British steamers carrying 3.890 tons.
Through cargo for ports be- yond the Colony amounted to 11.189 tons of which 7,602 tong were carried by British steamers.
Asiatic deck passengers entering into the Colony during the 24 hours ended at 9.00 am. yesterday
