Silver prices were again higher yesterday to the extent of 3/16 for both deliveries. the quotations be- Ing 201 for Ready and 20 5/18 for Forward. Silver advices reported Tudia as having bought. China operated both ways. After the off- cial fixing there were some demand for Spot but the forward market was a bit easier. In America the rate was unchanged at 444 for Spat.

The London/New York cross- rate was quoted at 4.941. New York/London was quoted at 4.941. MARKET

Steady but nothing doing.

STERLING

There were sellers at 1/3 13/16 for cash/December, buyers at 1/35. A small buitiess was reported at 1/3 for near delivery.
