The market was very uncertain at the opening with possibility of a movement either way, but very shortly after insistent buying in- quiries arose resulting in rates melting away. At closing time halt had apparently been called at the weakness.

The heavy decline last Tuesday in the raw rubber markets in New York and Singapore, was reflected in, the Local Rubber Share Market. Buyers reduced their rates, but sellers were not inclined to follow, which position resulted in very few shares changing hands. There was a little more activity in the Gen- eral Market, led by.
