The Bazaars were again in the allver market in London yesterday as purchasers; speculative tran- sactions were on both sides of the market and China sole to a mo- derate extent. Prices were higher by 3/16 to 221 and 224 for Ready and Forward respectively. The tome appeased not particularly strong reflecting the inclination on the part of sellers to operate.

The cross-rate was steadier In New York yesterday, opening at 4.92 and closing at 4.927.

At the opening of the market rates looked inclined to go easy but subsequently the tone firmed up slightly; subsequent fluctuɛ-; tions, however, closely followed the movement in Gold Bars in Shanghai Business was brisk.

There were sellers at the open- ing at 1/7 17/32, buyers asking for 1/7 9/16, but on the buying rate receding to 1/7 17/32 sellers changed delivery to November at which rate business was done fol- lowed by the same rate for cash and it 1/7 9/18 November, 1/71 November, 1/7 December, 1/71 second half December. 1/7 17/32 cash.: 1/7 cash and 1/71 Novern- ber.
