The A. Q. F. Carp, has received the following report from their New York correspondenta, E. A. Pierce & Co. The trend of the market wat somewhat disappointing. After last Friday's demonstration, the market is awaiting the publication of first-quarter important earning statements, the outcome of the railway wage dispute and legislative developments at Washington

Wheat: Market nervous on renewed liquidation, mostly for July and September

Weak cables were off-set by dust storms in the North-West The visible decrease in stocks is disappointing.

Cotton: After a lower opening, prices held quiet steady and sentiment was mixed with a general disposition to await developments at Washing-

ton.

"

Silver: Prices fluctuated irregularly and the market was sensitive to moderate orders either way. Uncertainty over the legislative programme and the weakness of the Chinese silver market were depressing influences. Business Done: 1,110,000 shares.
