London advised a small business MERCANTILE
in the Silver market yesterday with speculative operations on
both
sides of the market. The closing tone was quietly steady but very little interest was shown. There

Berlin, Apr. 11. Although the volume of business done in the sharemarket was not great, prices of standard invest- ment showed a very buoyant "ten- dency, partly because dealers pro- ceeded to replenish stocks while prices were low, and partly be cause of numerous very favourable reports of various industries show- ing that more workers were being re-engaged everywhere.
Fixed interest securities market was dull, prices showing but slight Call Money 4 to 4. changes. Young Loan 1/8 weaker at 93, Reichsbank dropped 1 to 1491, Dyetrusts jumped 21 to 130, Ger- man Steeltrusts Armer at 124 German Mineral Ons better at 1131. The A. O. F. Corp, has received the following, report from their New York correspondents, E. A. Pierce & Ch. The market is still fighting to overcome the resistance area and many technical condition observers are not convinced by the market strength. But we do not think their argu- ments very convincing for the prospect of lower prices. The tharket may hesitater here, but it seems that a broadly bullish base is still in formation. Wheat: The market is easier on its own weight and there is no pro nounce pressure or liquidation.
Cotton: The decline is due to lack of buying rather than to any volume of selling. Sentiment is disturbed by more wrangling over the Bankhead Bill
Silver: The market was relatively quiet, but turned reactionary as the late session, partly in sympathy with rubber and disappointment that Washington news did not have greater influence.. Business Done: 1,580,000 shares,
