Messrs. Roza Broe, have for- warded us the following exchange market report for yesterday!-
The price for Ready Silver rose 1/16 yesterday but the Forward rate was unchanged, the quotations being 18 for Rendy and 18.9/16 for Forward. Silyer advices re- ported India as having bought. Offerings were small. The tone at the" close was steady. In America the rate was lower at 307 for Spot.
New York advices reported "the" opening rate at 4.79) and the clos ing rate at 4.78). The lowest rate done was 4.777.

The market continues to show. nothing excopt a lack of interest and we can see nothing except the exercise of patience, waiting until it is possible to get some definite clue. The President's speech before the American Legion Convention today failed to throw any light on his monetary policy.
Wheat: Little interest. The tone was easy. The President's speech disappointed early buyers by nos mentioning grain or money.
Cotton: Quiet and featureless. Demand was not sufficient to absorb light hedging
Silver: The lack of any reference in the President's speech as regards inflation, induced some long liquidation. The market opened higher in sympathy with London.
Business Done: 900,000 shares.
