The total acreage under all crops and grass this year is 25,112,000, as against 25,206,000 in 1932, a decrease of 94.000 acres. In addition there are 5,316,000 acres of rough graz ing, as against 5,357,00 a year ago, an increase of 39,000 acres. It is interesting to note that while there. has been a decrease in the ares laid down for barley, oats, mixed corn, and rye, the acreage lald down for wheat has increased from 1,288,000 to 1,660,000 or 28,9 per cent. Beans, peas, potatoes, and most vegetables have also had greater areas. devoted to their cultivation. The acreage given to
