M Pearl Buck was on deck when approached by our representative. She said she had had a very enjoyable holiday, ten months in America and three months in Europe. She was, China which she described as her home, however, very glad to get back to and said she was now working on a book which will probably be given the title of "Patriots." Buck said she hoped to do a book on her "own people," who according to her are like everybody else, "from an outward point."
