After hitting the cross-wall the vessel swung round broadside on, and Asherman and others who had rushed to the scene from a direc tions got hold of the ropes from the 1,003 ship. As soon as she was made fast, gangways were, improvised, and passengers allowed to land.

The Crested Eagle was found to be considerably damaged below the water line. Temporary repairs were effected. The passengers who should ASIATIC DECK PASSENGERS. have returned to London were taken to Margate by car, and embarked in the Golden Eagle.

According to Radio Intelli- gence," new wireless regulations, applying to all foreign ships in German, territorial waters, have recently been made by the German Post Office. It is stipulated that all communicationg a must be affected with the nearest German coastal wireless station which is open to the public for official messages, unless special permission has been obtain- ed to work with other stations; and communication must be carried out using the minimum aerial energy for the purpose, and using sharply tuned waves either of the continuous or interrupted continuous wave type of transmission. Communication must cesse immediately upon re quest from the nearest German const station or of a German naval wireless station, and may only be resumed by special permission of that station.
