LESSON SERMON.

FIRST CHURCH OF CHRIST, SCIENTIST HONG KONG.

"God" was the subject of the Lesson-Sermon in all Churches of Christ, Scientist, on Sunday, July

g.

The Golden Text was: "Thas saith the Lord the King of Israel, and his redeemer the Lord of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last and beside me there is no God" (Isa. 44: 0)

Among the citations which com. prised the Lesson-Sermon was the following from the Bible: "And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands. They shall perish: but thou remainest; and they shall wax old as doth a garment; and aa a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail (Hebr. 1: 10-12.)

The Committee recommend the use of clieaper raw material for rd at the high prices fetched by spindles and high-rate spinning Freach scents at the sale of the und high speed winding ma- barber's and perfumery shop of the chinery. They find that the cost
