Chiness lettuos always looks deli- cious. Its fault seems to be a tacke of heart. The prizes went to specimens in which that fault had been corrected. The class was well entered and those who sent rather large and coares lettuces will have learned a lesson from their fellow exhibitors.

Celery was rather disappointing. It is grown in fairly large quanti- ties, and, as we know the flavour good. But fronikly it does not compare with the crisp, while stalks of the celery: we know at home..
